Scrolling among the posts you’ll come across a range of stories that have been submitted to the site since it started in January of 2010. To help you navigate between them, there are some links below. We hope you enjoy reading them, and hope that it will inspire you to submit a story of your own…

• Accepted rolling Secret Stories which have been uploaded to this site anonymously. They could have been written by anyone. I mean, there’s one in there that’s been written by Dave Eggers, another by a kid in south London. That sort of thing. Out of these stories, a handful appear at any one time for sale in our shop.
• All the Online Contests that have taken place on this site. A word is given, and readers then compose their own fifty word story, to rapturous applause.
• A fiction face-off between husband and wife, in several parts. A word was suggested, and the two of them had just ten minutes to compose a fifty-word story on that subject. It was this little literary battle that got the idea for FiftyFiction rolling in the first place. Aahhh.

AN AFTERWORD ON AUTHORS

FiftyFiction would like to thank EVERYONE who has spent time composing a small story for the site, and none more so than all the real-deal published authors. We can’t tell you who wrote what, because that would spoil the fun, but we would like to honour those amongst us who are actually paid to write, and have happily thrown themselves into our little anonymous literary pile-up. We are keen on the idea of democratising the written word, and getting everyone in on the action, and we’re thrilled that the following folks are too. Thanks for being humble and letting us rub shoulders with you for a paragraph or two. Write on!
